When your family has three kids under the age of 10, a year can seem like a lifetime ago. So much to discover, learn, attempt; so many successes, and even a few failures. We're blessed with three incredibly resourceful children, who despite their tender years, are quite adept at manufacturing fun, seemingly out of thin air. On with the show!
Remember? The first time you got on a two-wheeler? This is Joe's first bike ride. And believe it or not, between the time this picture was taken and now, we've taken off the training wheels too! He's a natural.

As many of you know, until this year our kids (well, Jamie & Joe so far) have been home schooled. This year, though, Lori is taking a well-deserved sabbatical. This was their first day at Carbon Canyon Christian School, Joe in first grade, Jamie in fifth.
Jamie loves a show, especially when she's the star! Here she is riding the "elephant" (played by Kelli, her good friend from up the street).
And what would a circus be without some gymnastics? Here Jamie and Joe demonstrate their tumbling skills.
In our circuses, at least, you have to stop for commercials (must have something to do with the free admission). Here Joe extolls the virtues of a sword he's trying to sell.
I'm not sure why Kelli kept ending up on the bottom of Jamie's stunts, but as they say, that's show biz.
We try to get down to Vista to see Jeff's mom as often as we can. "Nana" loves all five of her grandkids (The Five Fischers supplying three of those), and they love her right back.
Technically this is not a year 2000 highlight, since this gathering took place late last year, but I included it here as a reminder of how wealthy we are. No, not in terms of money; in terms of wonderful friends. Here we are with some of our favorites, the Harralsons. They live in northern California now and we don't get to see them as often as we'd like. Lori sang in their wedding 20 years ago, and we've had the privilege of watching their two beautiful daughters grow up.
