For a couple of years now we've made it a point to take in Chino Hills' annual Fourth of July Picnic and Country Fair. It's a very low-key affair, with booths featuring local handicrafts, displays from the local fire department, plus a few small fund-rasing rides. This year they added a stage with live music. But truth be known, the big attraction for The Five Fischers is the food, as the following pictures will attest.

Jamie & Joe eat
Smiles on the outside, hot dogs on the inside. Definitely Fischer kids!
Anna eats
Anna proves she can put away the dogs with the best of them (although she appears to be eating a bag of catsup at the moment).
Anna feeds Joe
"Joe, you have to eat all your vegetables!" (Just don't tell her slushies aren't vegetables.)
Lori & Anna squirt fire hose
The idea here is to knock over your little red cone with the water from the fire hose. Lori and Anna are manning the front line, Jamie is in the rear. Notice no cone in the rear? And the front cone is...well, it's dry as a bone, folks, there's no other way to say it.

Joe drives fire truck
...Monkey do.
