If you haven't guessed by now, The Five Fischers are a pretty traditional American household. We are Christian in religion, and when it comes to religious holidays, none surpasses Easter, at least for us. Sure, Christmas is nice, and the event it celebrates undoubtedly significant. But Easter is the realization of what Christmas promised. Without Easter, we'd be left with a pretty story of a baby in a manger who grew up to be a man who did nice things and then died. Instead, we have the powerful demonstration of God's love for mankind, and his "seal of approval," as it were, on what his son, known in that day as Jesus of Nazareth, accomplished on our behalf. For us, then, Easter is the cornerstone of hope and faith.

But all that doesn't mean we just have a serious, somber time. No way! We celebrate it to the max! That means good food and fun too, as illustrated in the following photographs.

Kids before church
We start the celebration by getting dressed up for church in the morning...

Kids hunt eggs
Then after dinner it's the Easter egg hunt!

Is he handsome, or what?

And the boys are already starting to notice this one. Yikes!
